Program # 2 A (5 visit) Full Natural Program (your best $ value)
Core Aeration - Over seeding - Natural Granular Fertilizer-Broadleaf weed control This program includes monthly inspections to assess weed and insect problems as required as well as spring, summer and fall applications using different blends of our high quality natural granular fertilizers. Your lawn will also receive core aeration and over seeding done in the spring and fall. Please note that the weed product used is called Fiesta and is great for broadleaf weeds only such as dandelions, thistles etc. Great results are obtained in the spring and the fall. Trying to control small pedalled leaves in the summer such as clover, chickweed and knotweed have proven to be quite challenging as results for these small pedalled weeds is not great.

Spring Power Dethatching & Clean-up
A machine used to power rake and remove the thatch build-up which occurs in lawns. Done early spring just after the snow disappears and conditions are dry enough. It saves the home owner from doing any spring raking as we remove all debris from the lawn. A great benefit to all lawns as the weight of the snow flattens the grass and this service restores it to its upright position. The average cost based on 3000 square feet is $165 + HST. |
Seasonal Cutting May to Oct inclusive
We use walk behind push mowers with bags on all home lawns. Thus the clippings are bagged and removed and edges are trimmed. This service runs for 6 months from May through to October inclusive done weekly. The average cost is $115 per month for the six months plus HST. This service is only available to program customers and is also only available in certain areas of the city. Please contact us to see if you are in an area we service. |
Fall Leaf Clean -Up
This service begins late October and runs through until approximately the third week in November. The leaves are debulked each week as needed for a minimum of three to four visits. The average cost is $185 + HST for one or two good sized trees on the property. The more trees the higher the cost. All leaves are taken away each visit. |
Grub Control Strategy
Since the new provincial legislation which came into effect three years ago the grub prevention can no longer be achieved. Companies now call this nematode application a grub reduction as it's success rate is much lower than previous applications. We at VIP Lawn Care like to give great value for all services and feel that a nematode application does not give great value for its cost. It is done at a customers request for an average cost of $130 however because of factors such as temperature, moisture levels and sunlight the window of success is very small. That is why companies use the word reduction rather than control. Applications are done in August when the eggs are hatching and larvae is small. |
